Ashley and I are leading a group at Crossroads this winter from Prepare/Enrich on how to take your marriage from “fine” or “good” to great. To go from being together to further growing together. Marriage is beautiful and complex; its fluid and changes with time. Whether newlyweds or married for 50 years, marriage is worth it.

Happy New Year! Anyone else not make it to midnight?
That’s actually not a COVID issue this year, for the past several years, we have been finding a countdown on Netflix to play for the kids at 8 or 9pm, dance some, and then send the kids to bed early with us soon to follow. Pretty sure I didn’t make it to 11pm this year.
This year has carried an obvious amount of heartache, worry, stress, and unknown. But I’d rather focus on the positives and how we can keep moving forward. Especially when we cannot do anything to change the past and need to keep working towards our future.
…What Do You Love About Yourself?
The worst think about being married to a counselor or the child of one has to be the introspection that is regularly given. We are currently in our car on our way to a birthday party that is an hour and half away from home. My wife’s love language is quality time so I have to try to work hard to make conversation and show love.
A question came about that for the time being I feel like is a perfect question: what is it you love most about yourself?
